The agreement will expand access to high-quality African natural dense soda ash for industrial buyers in Myanmar.
Yangon, 28 January 2026 - Kelin Co., Ltd. ("Kelin") has agreed to provide marketing services for the sale of Tata Chemicals Magadi's high-quality natural dense soda ash in Myanmar.
The agreement broadens the country's soda ash supply options after several years in which imports were largely dominated by synthetic material from China and India, with limited natural soda ash arriving from Europe.

Myanmar is expected to receive the first 345 MT shipment of African natural soda ash in March 2026, following container loading by the producer in January.
Tata Chemicals manufactures natural soda ash in Magadi, Kenya, at Africa's largest soda ash facility. The product is derived from trona deposits in Lake Magadi, which contains one of the world's purest known surface deposits of the mineral.
Trona is processed into soda ash at a facility close to the mining operation before being transported by rail to Mombasa for onward shipment to international customers.
